Afgelopen zaterdag: Musica Republica in de Maassilo, Rotterdam. Aldaar leek het erop dat er onder de bezoekers toch wel veel typische Rotterdammers waren; de sfeer was echter prima. Na een ietwat lange (toch snel 20 minuten) wachtrij voor de deur waren we binnen. Jas en plu’s in een kluisje en het gedruis in. Wat tegenviel was de volume van de muziek: wat ontzettend hard! Ik heb zondag de hele dag met een ruis in mijn oren rondgelopen.

IPv6 Adoption: Drivers and Barriers Reconsidered
Industry stakeholders, specialists and scientist generally agree on the fact that the adoption of IPv6 is not a matter of ‘how’, ‘why’ or ‘who’ but only of ‘when’. Since the design of IPv6 in 1996, the adoption of this ‘next generation Internet protocol’ is far from widespread. Drawing on the scientific literature as well as some personal interviews with enterprises specialists, this paper identifies the most valuable and most significant drivers of the adoption of IPv6. It also gives an overview of important stakeholders and the role of local government. On the basis of these data, we argue against an uncritical application of Rogers’ innovation diffusion theory and specify an alternative hypothesis about the future adoption rate.

A movement towards 100 percent customer satisfaction
Federal Express was founded in 1973 by Frederick W. Smith in 1973. His idea was to start a transportation company to transport packages. He started his company with 14 small planes, but only 17 years later Federal Express had a fleet of 419 planes and delivered packages worldwide. Nowadays, it has a fleet of 665 airplanes and more than 43,000 vehicles. They are a world-leading transportation company with a guaranteed package delivery in one day in the whole United States. Quality is very important for Federal Express and they do not accept anything less than a 100 percent customer satisfaction. In this paper we want to describe how Federal Express tries to ensure 100 percent customer satisfaction.

Musica Republica: Tickets binnen!
Vandaag kaarten gekocht voor Musica Republica: een naar het lijkt goede party 28 november 2009 in de Maassilo, Rotterdam. Samen met Anneke en Bas van de partij aldaar! Met Don Diablo, Vato Gonzales, Benny Rodrigues, Andrea Roma en vele anderen op de linup beloofd het in ieder geval qua muziek niet tegen te vallen; ben benieuwd hoe de sfeer is! De trailer (zie hieronder) is in ieder geval geslaagd!

Bruxelles
Gewapend met Capitool reisgids (waarover de mening bleek te verschillen; ik vind hem nog steeds prettig, Loes verafschuwde vooral de kaarten) stapten we ‘s morgens in Roosendaal over op de internationale trein naar Brussel voor een heuse stedentrip van één dag. Onderweg even verdiepen in de geschiedenis (zo ben ik dus weer te weten gekomen dat een deel van Belgie door de Spanjaarden bezet is geweest) om zo ook nog eens goed voorbereid de stad in te gaan.
